Manson never had hands on involvement with the Sharon Tate murders. People say, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force the horse to drink the water.” Manson lead members of his cult (the horses) to murder celebrities that he thought were evil (drinking the water). As a cult leader, he just told people what to do but he was still responsible for the murders. He did not feel remorse about the murders that happened and continued to think that he is a good person. He was even planning to kill other celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, and Tom Jones. Dahmer, on the other hand, felt a lot of remorse. He once said, “I know society would never forgive me. I know families of the victims will never be able to forgive me for what I have done. I promise I will pray each day to ask for their forgiveness when the hurt goes away, if ever. I have seen their tears, and if I could give my life right now to bring their loved ones back, I would do it” (Dahmer). Manson never thought what he was doing was wrong but thought he was being told messages through lyrics from ‘The Beatles’
