Jeff M Character Analysis

The H. family’s youngest son was abducted twenty years ago. In this time, Mr. H passed away and a man named Jeff M claims to be their son. Jeff M is the long lost son of the H. family. After a long 20 years, the family was reunited. Although Mr. H passed away, the genetic information from Mrs. H and their children was enough to obtain the families STR’s. The information from the DNA markers confirms that he is related to the family.

Four DNA markers from the H. family and Jeff M were obtained. These are markers D135517, TH01, D21S11, D75820. The members of the H. family are Mrs. H, child 1, child 2, child 3, and child 4. If Mr. H was still alive, it would be easy to see if Jeff M is related. Since he is not, Mr. H’s STRs have to be guessed. For D135517, Jeff M has STRs 21 and 3. The 21 comes from Mr. H and the 3 from Mrs. H. Jeff M shares the same STR as child 2 . This means that it would make sense that he is the children’s brother. 21 comes from Mr. H because the children had to have gotten one STR from mom and one from dad. Some of the children have 21 and one STR that the mom also has, so that means that 21 was from the dad. This marker confirms that he is related. Jeff M’s

He got 21 from Mrs. H and 13 from Mr. H. Childs 2 and 4 have STRs 13, like Jeff M, so that must have been one of the STRs that dad passed on. DS1S11 is an odd marker. Jeff M got STR 21 from Mr. H but has STR 9, which would have to come from

DNA paternity testing works by drawing a comparison between a child's DNA profile and the equivalent profile of a presumed father. As any child's DNA will be made up of half from each biological parent, by comparing the two sets of DNA, scientists are then able to see what similarities may have been inherited. Whenever a parent and child are proven biologically related, then their DNA profiles will show perceptible patterns that mark them out as part of the same family. Depending upon circumstances, approaches to DNA paternity testing vary. Testing can be conducted prenatally, which provides answers prior to birth, which can help to ensure clarity and a stable situation for all concerned when the child is born.…

Remarkable scientists Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins had been the first to fully understand the double helix structure of deoxyribonucleic acid, commonly known as DNA. In addition, the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA also allowed for both men to exceptionally win the noble prize in physiology or medicine in the year of 1953, when determining the body of deoxyribonucleic. Friedrich Miescher first identified and isolated deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA is carried in living organisms, such as animal, plants and other living organisms, and is found in even multiple viruses. Deoxyribonucleic acid is a molecule, which plays the central role in carrying most of the genetic instructions to create development, reproduction as well as function.…
