A young man named James Madison Jr. was born 1751 in Port Conway, Virginia. Madison grew up in Orange County Virginia. Madison was the oldest of ten siblings and got his leader skill ship from a young age naturally. He attended college of New Jersey, now known as Princeton, While attending college he studied History and government, and got degrees in both, and graduated in 1771. He was the youngest man apart of the Continental Congress. Standing at 5’6 and a soft spoken voice, it was hard for him to earn respect. Eventually respect was given with his constant hard work, persistence, and careful preparation. Madison made many things happen within his time period in the Continental Congress, one that stood out was his rough draft to what is now the Constitution. In 1787 he lead Virginia delegation to the meeting in Philadelphia where his rough draft of the “ Virginia Plan “ became the Constitution. James Madison is better known as the Father of the Constitution. Soon later in 1789, Madison was elected to the House of Representatives and worked with George Washington. Madison was a major influence on why the Bill Of Rights was released. Later in years, Madison left Washington and partnered with Thomas Jefferson once again. Being the secretary of state he supported the Louisiana Purchase. Madison found himself in a hard place and left Jefferson and soon became the fourth president in 1808. He lead our country for four years and was considered one of our founding fathers.
One thing that stood out to me in this essay was that James Madison was a deist. A deist is someone who feels strongly that their is no God. This stood out because as a president he would always say that under God we trust, and if he didn’t believe in god why
