Thomas a character from the Maze Runner series, by James Dashner is a very courageous person in many ways. Immediately he finds himself thrown into a very confusing and scary place. He wakes up surrounded by faces he doesn't know, and in a place he's never been. Then he finds himself in the middle of a Glade. He develops many questions that no one seems to know, or not willing to answer. He is very curious to understand why the Maze exists, who put it there, and why? As soon as Thomas sets out to try and find answer for himself, he questions the other members of the Glade. One character, Minho, agrees to show him the farthest reaches of the Maze they have discovered. Minho is willing to believe that they might be able to find the secret to escaping the Maze. With Minho's help, Thomas's curiosity does lead them to find a secret way out of the Maze. They assemble a group of people from the Glade that are willing to courageous enough to face the Maze and escape. After a tough journey they discover a way out although not all of them make it out alive.
Thomas, the protagonist in the Maze Runner, was able to survive the Maze because of his qualities of courage and curiosity that helped him through the tough challenges. He refused to believe that the Maze was unsolvable, and he had the courage to never give up. He continued to believe there were answers to be found and the others that survived with him learned to believe it too. Thomas was able to pass on his curiosity and valor to the other survivors; he is truly a character who is
