Jack The Ripper Murders

Eleven murders in four years all linked to an unidentified serial killer later named by the public as “Jack the Ripper”. The true identity of Jack the Ripper is a Whitechapel resident Aaron Kosminski and he is to blame for all eleven murders. Back in early fall of 1888 in Whitechapel located in London's East end, prostitute Mary Anne Nichols was murdered. Mary Anne Nichols’ body is found naked and mutilated with organs missing and her abdomen in ruins. Eight days later a few blocks down from the last murder, Annie Chapman who also is a prostitute is murdered in a backyard in the same manner as Mary. Then, 22 days later prostitute Elizabeth Stride is murdered identically to the previous women, and hours after the murder of Elizabeth, prostitute …show more content…
To understand the issue we first need to look at how the proximity of the murders and the residence of Mr. Aaron. Mr. Aaron lived with in a circle of all 5 canonical murders very close and since he was raised there we would most certainly known his way around town without being spotted. Additional background knowledge is that he was a barber so he could easily have worked Monday through Friday afternoon which would easily allow him to murder on Friday nights and Saturdays as well as he knew that is you slit a neck while a person was still alive their blood would spray. That would be a safety precaution that would have had to be taught in order to practice. This most definitely shows that Jack the Ripper because of the location of where he lives and his occupation coming into play. Back in time, barbers didn’t have nice electric clippers so they would have used single sided blades to shave men and trim up facial hair. That would have easily allowed Jack the Ripper to be Mr. Aaron because he was skilled in using a blade and shaping with his hands. Aaron Kosminski can be accused of murdering eleven prostitutes due to the location of his residence and his skills in which his occupation …show more content…
Aaron was incarcerated but released because there wasn't anyone to testify against him, and there wasn’t any additional evidence at the time to accuse him. When he was questioned, the police didn't get any useful information so he was released and marked off the list of suspects. His family, however, noticed something very different about him following the final murder within the canonical five, so they delivered him to an insane asylum where he lived out the rest of his years drawing pictures of gutted animals and talking about death through knives and mutilation. Mr. Aaron was so close to being locked up for good saving the lives of all the women following Elizabeth Stride. It is very disappointing that the Jewish men wanted to spare the lives of Jack the Ripper so they didn't feel “guilty”, but because of that Catherine Eddowes and Mary Jane Kelly were gruesomely mutilated and murdered. I believe it is a very good thing that his family delivered him to an insane asylum, it likely saved upwards of 20 women. Aaron was the only man that came so close to being charged with the murder of all of these women, but slipped through the fingers of officials. The way he lived the rest of his life in the insane asylum brings no doubt that Aaron Kosminski was indeed
