The iPhone was released to market in 2007; this is pivotal because it was the first smart phone available to consumers. [1] The most current model is the iPhone 6, which was released on September, 25 2015. Currently, the newest iPhones on the market are the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 plus, and the iPhone 6s plus. The new iPhones will be available in over 130 countries by the end of the year.” [2] Apple also manufactures and assembles their phones on the global market. As Re/code reports, Apple has improved its profit margin for its phones. While the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5S both provided the same margin of around 69%, the first iPhone in 2007 gave Apple a 55% margin... In April, IHS reported that a Samsung Galaxy S5 with 32GB costs the company $251.52. That phone sells for $599, giving Samsung a margin of around 58%” [4]. Apple experience economies of scale. So what are you looking for on your new phone? Samsung and Apple have opted for very different designs when it comes to the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6. Where the iPhone is a smooth seamless union of metal and glass the Galaxy S6 is an uneasy merger of soft touch plastic and hard plastic edges painted to look like metal. From a purely design aesthetic there’s no contest – the iPhone 6 looks miles slicker than the S6. The new iPhone retains the 4.7-inch screen that Apple used on the iPhone 6, but the resolution is just 750 x 1,334 pixels (~326 ppi).…
