New models of cell phones are released constantly, companies work to create better products with faster speeds, better graphics, and slimmer designs. With the use of a handheld cell phone individuals can communicate in many ways, such as using Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to share photos or directly message others. Video sharing websites such as YouTube provide videos for entertainment, politics, sports, education, and music. With the overload of stimulus and instant gratification received from these technologies is addictive, attention is spread over multiple sources at a time, the internet gives users the ability to see what they want instantly while skipping over everything the user has no interest in. This sort of instant pleasure received by using the internet is not a realistic expectation in real life. Progress often takes time; studying, working out, and saving money are all activities where results come from consistent hard work in order to achieve a goal.
