Inmate Camera Observation

On 11/14/2016, at approximately 2203 hours, while I, Officer Smith B3168 was observing cameras in D1 A Pod located at Durango Jail 3225 W. Gibson Ln. Phoenix AZ 85009, observed numerous Inmates gathering in front of cells 9 and 10.

Officer Larsen B2798 responded to my radio call and observed Inmate Blevins, Michael MCSO Booking # T272215 in the first shower bleeding from an open wound on his nose. During a knuckle check of the entire pod, Inmate Gonzales, Ismael MCSO Booking # T317599 was observed with a red welt across his face. Both inmates were consecutively escorted to Durango Jail Clinic, and were evaluated by RN Stacy RT710. Both inmates were cleared of any injuries.

On 11/15/2016, at approximately 1830 hours I observed camera footage from the supervisor’s office on what occurred at 2203 hours on 11/14/16 in Dura 1 A pod. I observed two inmates fighting in the bathroom and then Inmate Gomez, Jose De Jesus MCSO Booking #T317409 came out of the shower and walked to cell #9, viewed on camera A Pod Right, Time 10:03:22. A different inmate then fought Inmate Blevins at 10:03:36, also viewed on camera A Pod Right and then walked out of the bathroom and entered cell #10. That inmate was identified as Segundo, Mario MCSO Booking # T304086.
