My job as a teacher is not to be thanked daily, my job to to help give back. My parents and grandparents have taught me to past down what I have learned and to always be appreciative of my culture. I want each student to learn the dimension of their culture and the beauty of where they come from. I also want each student to experience the beauty of life. My mother and father have always encouraged me and tried to have show me my self-worth and my ideal classroom involves the same concept. My intention as a teacher involves displaying the child’s self-worth and build up their self-confidence. I want to use my family’s struggles to help expand the minds of my students. I plan to learn the lives of every student and treat them as an individual. I would love to learn something interesting about every student and create a lesson plan around that feature to help them feel more appreciated. Listening to stories has made me realize that there may be students that are or have experienced loss in their lives and have less support at home. My intention is to encourage my students to dream big every day. Although, being a teacher can be difficult, the happiness involving each student is much more important. I also want every student to know that they are cared about and have someone to talk to when they are struggling.
