Happiness as by Aristotle means, “happiness depends on ourselves”. Aristotle felt that happiness was the central and reason to humanity. As well not just happiness but Aristotle had another thought, “virtue”, as explained in class virtue, meaning to have good morals and also good character. Being happy through ones lifetime, having good health, having healthy relationships and also being well off financially, having good knowledge and so on. But with many choices to make in ones persons lifetime, some of those choices will carry an immediate happiness or it can also cause and immediate devastation. Also their will be choices that will have a longer more painful route to happiness but at the end it will be for the greater good for ones happiness. Aristotle explains not only about happiness but also about virtue’s, now as explained virtues means having good purpose of morals and good character. As a future engineer, I wish to flourish on great projects that I get assigned to and put to practice the virtues that I will be receiving at Texas A&M. As an undergraduate student from Texas A&M, I plan to hold close to me the six core values which are, “Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect and Selfless Service.” These core values are taught from the first day a student steps foot onto the campus of Texas A&M. The core values listed will help to always go beyond the standard, to show leadership when given the chance or even to step up to the leadership position when needed to.
