TITLE – ‘INTERVENTION OF POP CULTURE IN INDIAN CULTURE’
INTRODUCTION
This paper mainly deals with westernisation or the spread of a particular culture or among the individuals in the society.
Pop culture is nothing but what you listen to, what you read , what you wear and how you speak. Some examples are gangnam style, whatsapp , Facebook , selfie and so on.
Indian culture is very different from other foreign cultures. It is rich with its own values and traditions. But nowadays more of modernised version of Indian culture and adoption of western lifestyle is seen in the society.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
• The paper will discuss briefly about Indian culture and tradition.
• Emergence of western culture in India.
• Wide acceptance of pop culture in Indians in terms of lifestyle, food and dressing.

The concept of joint families is fastly decreasing every one wants to remain aloof from others.
