Although the classes are more demanding, I believe that I would benefit from taking on such a challenging workload to reach my full potential. Taking honors level courses at Pace will help refine my skills in business and also prepare me for the workload I would expect to see in at my first job. I have already taken one honors level class during my freshman year, POL 114: International Relations with Professor Nayak. The class was demanding but fair, and my work was held to a higher standard because it was an honors level course. I earned an A in the course, which was rewarding and made me appreciate the work I put into my assignments which led me to earning my desired grade. Earning this grade proved to me that I was capable of taking on the honors work and excelling, which gave me a boost of confidence when it came to picking my schedule. I was approved to take another honors college course in the Fall of 2016, LIT 211D: Individual and Society with Professor North. I did this in order to continue the same rigorous curriculum that I grew accustomed to in POL 114. Going into the class I now know what quality of work will be expected from me. Being a member of the Pforzheimer Honors College will allow me to continue taking these courses. If I were to continue taking these difficult courses, it will help me prosper into a student who would be prepared to take on the challenges of my first job after
