Sequence 25 (Use First)
When I have to complete a task I like to know exactly what is expected of me. I don’t enjoy operating in a place where I am forced to make assumptions or draw my own conclusions about any task that’s been given. I feel like being organized with the steps I take to complete a task comes with the territory of desire specific instructions. Even when I have self-generated tasks I maintain a tasker log book of which I identify what needs to be done and how I intend on going about completing it. Once I’m done with a task I cross it off my list and I immediately am overcome with an innate sense of accomplishment just from identifying with myself that I completed that task. I do feel like a can and will take risks when I need to, but they are definitely far and few between. And even if I am willing to take risks I have usually done my due diligence to ensure all of my options have been weighed and the repercussions fully thought out. I don’t feel like I avoid being a confluent learner but there are probably more times than not that I would rather just not go there.
Understanding what kind of learner I am is important to me because I can be mindful of what methods work for me better than others. I honestly feel like I identify more with being a strong-willed learner but I can see how my LCI score based on my own honest feedback would rate me as more of a dynamic learner. Reading over the material covering all of the Learning Patterns has given me a far better understanding of how to better identify with not only my learning abilities, but also those of the folks that work for me. This should help me greatly as I move forward in school as well as in work environments whether facilitating that of a followership role or a leadership
