If you were like Anne Frank wouldn't it be terrible to be in the Holocaust!? Has anything this bad happen to you? If you were Anne frank how would you feel, what would you do? Would you hide away from the German soldiers or just give up your life? If you hid, how would you survive when you have to hide away and not be able to be seen? If you got caught by the german soldiers would your family get split up? Would you ever see your family again? Would you be killed right away for hiding? Where would we be going, what's going to happen? Am I going to die or live? If I would've just let the german soldiers take me would I survive?
During 1935 - 1939, 121 new laws and ordinances came out and that made life very difficult for the Jews ( Rice p.35).

The family then went hiding on July 6, 1942 into the back of Ott Frank's company building. The family spent 2 years in hiding, meanwhile Anne wrote daily entries on her diary (Anne Frank). Anne would miss her friends and would have a hard time being away from everyone (Stitching). Anne hid with her family and were joined by four other jews including Peter, the boy Anne was supposed to fall in love with ( 7 things). The other people that stayed with the franks were - Hermann and Auguste Van Pels with their son Peter, and Fritz Pfeffer. Four of the Otto’s employee's helped them (Anne Frank). During hiding the atmosphere in what they called the Secret Annex is very pleasant, first conflicts quickly arose. People in the hiding place have to stay in doors around the clock. They have to be very quiet. People can here them easily down stairs. The toilets can only be flushed as little as possible so people don't suspect anything. There is a lot of tension by the nature of hiding place and also because of the fear of being found. The often quarrel among themselves (Stitching). While the franks were hiding Anne dreamed of things she wanted to buy some day. Anne made a list of things she wanted which were lipstick, eyebrow pencil, bath salts, bath powder, soap, and powder puff. Anne also studied, read books on European, History and Literature. There the two girls died of typhus shortly before the camp was liberated by the British Army on April 15, 1945. Margot was 19 and Anne was 15 ( 7 things)
Anne's father was the only one to survive in his immediate family. Anne's father found the diary, which a person named Miepbies had been saving the diary. Anne’s father thought that Anne's diary should be published. Anne's book was published June 25, 1947. The diary was called “ The Diary of a young girl.” Anne's diary was published in 67 different languages. Anne would've been so proud (Anne Frank)!
I have learned a lot about the holocaust and about Anne Franks. Yes I would not want to be part of the Holocaust, what a terrible time! If I was Anne I wouldn’t know what to do, I would be praying that nothing bad happens to us and that we could see each other again!
