Prospect Faceoff: Pair of newly-minted captains clash, plus draft-eligibles in the NAHL, Senators prospects in the SHL
Leadership is often one of the first things teams discuss when evaluating prospects, and for Dylan Strome of the Erie Otters and Timo Meier of the Halifax Mooseheads, both players will adorn new letters this year. In the WHL, a surprising early-cut from training camp faces off against a dimunitive forward, and two draft-eligible players from the NAHL, as well as two Ottawa Senators prospects lead their teams into weekend action.

Vince Dunn (Niagara) vs. Dylan Strome (Erie) – OHL
The Niagara IceDogs are going to have their hands full when they visit the Erie Otters this weekend, the only undefeated team left in the OHL. The IceDogs are going to counter Dylan Strome’s 2015-16 OHL debut with Vince Dunn, a recent second round pick of the St. Louis Blues. Dunn is a beautiful skater that has strong puck moving abilities, but his it’s his underrated defensive abilities that will need to be on display if the IceDogs hope to knock off the Otters. While there is plenty of hockey to be played until December, these two might be teammates for Canada at the upcoming World Junior Championships held through the holiday season in Finland.

Good afternoon, I have supervised CBPO Michael Gudreau when he was assigned to the Eagle Pass Port of Entry. He is well versed in the Passenger Processing Section and can apply both Customs and Immigration Law. When he was eligible to be selected for the Eagle Pass Passenger Processing Teams, I inquired about his work ethic with the Training Department of Eagle Pass as he was completing his Post Academy Training in order to select him on my team. The recommendation they gave me was an excellent one as they advised me that he was a team player, eager to learn, self-taught, self-motivated, and very professional in both appearance and demeanor. Stat 3021 Practical Assignment Part 3 by Braden McDowell Introduction For the Stat 3021 project, I was interested in determining how NBA draft position impacted a player’s performance. More specifically, I aimed to determine “Do players drafted 1st overall tend to have a higher average win share per 48 minutes (WS/48 — see https://www.basketball-reference.com/about/ws.html for information on the calculation of this stat) than players drafted 2nd overall in their rookie seasons?” I hold a longstanding passion for basketball, and I especially am interested in front office decision making. In the debate between the two schools of epistemology, rationalism and empiricism, I am incline to follow the philosophies of the school of rationalism. The advantage of rationalism is that it relies solely on logic and reason to seek absolute truths. Empiricism’s flaw is that it relies merely on sensory observation to seek conclusions, which are subjective and can be deceptive. Many times I have been mislead by my senses, making me hesitant to trust empirical observations. I trust logic and reason over my own sensory observations when making conclusions in my own life.…
