My first two high schools, Pebblebrook High School and Lithia Springs High School, were highly spirited and never let a loss get them down. When I came to South Atlanta and participated in the homecoming spirit week along with the pep rallies for it, my heart nudged to the ground a bit; it was like being the odd ball out. There should never be down time in our classrooms because our teachers should be applying a variety of their teaching skills. Therefore, I feel that each semester, students should have an interactive town hall with their teachers to suggest fun activities to better distribute the lesson plans and standards to ensure that the student body is receiving every drop of knowledge needed for them to succeed in life. Thomas Edison once said "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."
