I Want To Be A Sga President

Why do I, Nadia Thomas, wish to be your SGA president? Honestly, because I want to make a change and leave a heavy impact on South Atlanta. When I was growing up, I was overly excited to go with my siblings to the local high school because no matter what time of day the student body was always excited and filled with adrenaline when it came to school spirit and education. From there I made it a personal goal that I kept that same mindset no matter what school I went to.
My first two high schools, Pebblebrook High School and Lithia Springs High School, were highly spirited and never let a loss get them down. When I came to South Atlanta and participated in the homecoming spirit week along with the pep rallies for it, my heart nudged to the ground a bit; it was like being the odd ball out. No one had spirit unless it was homecoming and even then only about 30% participated. I’m trying to turn that 30% into 100% or at least a ruff 99.9%. I want

Therefore, I feel that each semester, students should have an interactive town hall with their teachers to suggest fun activities to better distribute the lesson plans and standards to ensure that the student body is receiving every drop of knowledge needed for them to succeed in life. Thomas Edison once said "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." When first reading this quote, I had to sit back and think about it because it left a message. Why would you give up on yourself when you’re so close to the finish

Beyond dedication and efficiently completing the tasks required of me, my personal initiative to strive for greater feats is a quality that is essential in a President, whose duties do not rely on delegated tasks from another individual. In addition, my previous experiences leading other organizations and communicating with influential members within OCSA’s administrative body has allowed me to gain the qualities of a qualified candidate. This past fall semester, I worked with the administration to assist the counselors in volunteering at and planning for Freshman Retreat. I received this opportunity as my past position as President of Heart-2-Heart, a student lead club that formerly organized the retreats. This experience allowed me to gain proficiency communicating with administration and executing ideas in a timely manner, which are essential characteristics for an NHS President to possess.…
