Have you ever dealt with so much pain in your body that will not cease? It happens quite often. There are countless adjectives to describe it; however; enjoyable is not on that list. I have rheumatoid arthritis, a ruptured disc, five bulging discs, a torn rotator cuff, and knees that suffice it to say, do not fit together correctly. We, as medical assistants try to prevent this kind of pain for a patient, although we are unable to prevent it for ourselves. I will also share with you the interest, requirements, and the skills that are necessary for this career.
Interest
Of course, I could list all of the same cliché reasons for wanting to be a medical assistant, but I will try to refrain. I have constantly been considered a “fixer.” When my friends and family have needed perspective or guidance on what to do over the years, it seems that they always come to me. If sought out, current, correct information is available. This is going to be incredibly helpful while working as a medical assistant. I love to keep up with the latest technology as it pertains to sustaining life.
