With education comes independence, women feel more entitled to take control of their lives as they are not under the financial control of another. They can choose what they wear, eat, where they travel, without a male monitoring their choices. Education will also provide women with the ability to contribute financially, stepping out of their traditional roles as housekeepers. Finally, education will give women the opportunity of bettering their lives. Gaining independence and most importantly providing a system of role models as well as starting a cycle of educating their own daughters. As Malala described in her book, change is slow and scary, people are threatened by the possibility of losing control and power.
