Evolution is the change in a population over a usually long period of time. Population suggesting a group of the same species in the same location and habitat. Evolutionary changes occur on a genetic level. It is a process and in that process that results in changes that are passed on from generation to generation. Therefore it does not mean the changes of a single person over a short period of time, instead it refers to a species changing over time.
Genetic changes happen when genes mutate or combine during reproduction. Helping organisms survive and reproduce offspring that survive. A majority of people say that evolution is just a theory.
