My Response: I would have reacted the same way as Jane did to Mrs. Reed in chapter 4 I also would’ve been one to stand up to Mrs. Reed and tell her how I feel since everything that was being done to Jane was unfair .
Group Response: We also agree on doing the same thing that Jane Eyre did since it wasn’t a bad thing because all she did was stand up for herself since no one else would. If someone were to treat us bad, unkindly and unfair then we would to have a right to be mad and say what we feel.
2. Why was Jane treated so unfairly by her aunt, and disliked by many?
My response: It looks like Jane was treated so unfairly by her aunt because her aunt didn’t ever want to take charge of Jane since the beginning. Jane was disliked by many because since Mrs. Reed was the person in charge of everyone that Jane knew and who knew Jane therefore Mrs. Reed influenced all of the people at that house to dislike Jane. …show more content…
People often found Jane rude and obnoxious. People also didn’t like Jane because she was poor, an orphan and uneducated.
3. What was the cause of Jane's parents death ?
My Response: In chapter 1 page 31 in the novel it explains that Jane's parents died due to an infectious disease that was known as the Typhus fever and highly contagious. Jane's father caught this disease first then it was transmitted to Jane's mother causing them to pass away.
Group Response: Jane's parents died within a month of each other. Jane's parents passed away when jane was only a baby. The parents were contaminated with this Typhus fever when they took a trip visiting the poor at a large manufacturing
