It took 20 years to build the pyramids and they made over 100,000 slaves build them. As of November 2008, they found 118 and 138 pyramids. Most of the pyramids were built for the pharaohs and their family. They would mummify the bodies of pharaohs and their family by taking out there organs and putting salt in there bodies and wrapping them in cloth.
