Once every year from 1933 to 1938, the Nazi party held the Nuremberg Rallies in the Zeppelintribune. The Nuremberg Rallies were large propaganda events designed by Speer and primarily focused on portraying Hitler as Germany’s saviour. Through this contribution by Speer, Hitler rapidly gained supporters as he arose the nationalistic nature of many Germans, in particular those who praised the militaristic values Germany once stood for (Encyclopedia Britannica. 2016. Even after Hitler arose to power, the Nuremberg Rallies were conducted by Hitler to present speeches and implications to Germany. A renowned political accomplishment that was conducted through the Nuremberg Rallies were the introduction of the Nuremberg Laws, which shaped the future of Germany. The treatment of Jewish people throughout Germany from 1930 to 1945 had a major impact on the world. It is estimated that over 7 million Jews died, and ultimately this can be linked back to Speer. Speer was appointed the position of Minister of Armaments and Munition only 6 hours after the death of previous Minister, Fritz Todt. It is argued that Speer’s position as Minister of Armaments and Munition was the leading factor in the success of the German army in WWII, and that without Speer, Hitler would have lacked the power to stage his fight to the finish (A-Level History. 2016.
