In “How I Found America” by Anzia Yezierska, Anzia and her family migrated to America to seek new opportunities. They lived in Russia where the Czar did not give many chances to the people. When they reached America, Anzia said, “Where are the green fields and open spaces in America?” America was not what she expected to be, and she had to work hard to be able to live. After she met her sister’s beloved teacher, she asked for help. The teacher started reading an excerpt from a book called “Our America” by Waldo Frank. “We go forth all to seek America. And in the seeking we create her.
