Addiction can lead to victimization, both personal and of others. When people suffer from addictions, they hurt themselves. They tend to not want to ask for help; often they do not think they need help. Often, they will not get help until they realize that they are only hurting their own life, as well as others. There are a variety of addictions. Examples include sex addiction, gambling addiction, alcohol addiction, drug addiction, shopping addiction, etc. The list could go on and on. People can get addicted to just about anything. There are some people that this could be troublesome for. They have what we call addictive personalities.
