How Adversity Changed My Life Analysis

Decent Essays
Adversity took over my life, it spun me around and beat me till I could not see. It had a tremendous impact on my life, whether it was simple things like a parents separation to stressful things like ‘where am I getting this week’s bus money if I have none myself.’ Moreover, growing up with one parent made me assume responsibility for the missing parent in each picture. Nonetheless, I never let the issues at home affect me, if anything I allowed it to let me grow. I learned to be independent and take care of the house like a mother, and, I learned to take care of my own bills and be financially smart like a father. Furthermore, at 17 this caused a severe amount of stress in my life, but having a coping mechanism is what got me through the day

The Barbie house along with all of its occupants was the hardest to give away. Since Barbie dolls were difficult to get in Russia, my father would send me some from the United States. As my mom prepared for her trip to the States to undergo chemotherapy treatments, I reluctantly relinquished my most prized possessions.
