Using SPSS to analyse households in town A and town B pictures some demographic conditions. In general, respondents in town A are younger than in town B. The minimum age in town A is 21 while 31 in town B. However, in both cities, have people with above 51 years old. Meanwhile, almost 70% of people are already married in both cities.
Maximum year of cultivation in town B is three times higher than in town A, which is 4 and 13 respectively. This is because the productive land in town A is only a half (13 ha) compare with productive land in town B (28 ha). As a result, the maximum production in town B is 14 tons/ ha, while production in town A is 12 tons/ha. The result may not significantly differ. However, in terms of annual gross …show more content…
Although it is a weak correlation, it indicates that an increase in cultivation year rate, the production follows in tandem. For example, the maximum rate of production (12 tons/ha) is mostly happening in maximum years of cultivation (year four).
Conversely, the correlation of respondent age group and annual income is a negative relationship, which is -0.746. This is interpreted that as one variable increases in value, the second variable decreases in value. By the negative value of correlation, it can be concluded that older people have a low-income per year in town A, and vice …show more content…
Within the value of one standard deviation, it is interpreted that about 68 percent of the people are between 21-30 and 61-70 years of age. Based on the mean of age, it can be concluded that there is an older population in town B.
Moreover, the result describes the average of productive land per hectare is almost a quarter of total productive land in town B, which indicates the city is rich of fertile land. This may result in a high average of production and year of cultivation, which is 11 tons/ha and 9.90 respectively. Additionally, the average of gross income is 4390 per year, which is two times higher than town A.
However, the variability is very low that reflects the standard deviation rates of productive land, production and cultivation years are below the averages. Meanwhile, the amount of net income per year is between 2644 and 6136 (the mean ± 4390).
