There are numbers of things that make Hot topic so successful company and as a retailer as well. The Hot Topics have license to sell various products, like T-shirts, clothes, and accessories. The company is targeting younger people market. The average age of the Hot Topic employees is 25 year old, so they are experts on what younger people like and need. They offered modern and stylish clothing to attract younger people to buy from their stores. The interesting thing is that they also provide stylish clothing for the plus-size women, so that way they get more customers. Hot Topics did tremendous progress over the years, 15 years ago they had 15 stores and today they have 800 stores. This is the reasons why Hot Topic is so successful as a retailer. …show more content…
There are many reasons why employees loves to work at Hot Topic. Hot Topic employees get cell phone discounts, on-site massages, health fairs, scholarship reimbursement and “employee of the month” programs. I personally like their “9/80” program. In this program employee can take a three day weekend every other week if they work 80 hours over 9 days. Another thing I like about this company is their “concert reimbursement”. Each employee can attend this concert and also can bring someone with them. Employees have to fill out an expense report and get their money back for their tickets. Employees are also included in risk-taking decisions, this gives them a feeling that they are also important in this company.
