This quarter my goal is to be able to revise an essay efficiently and effectively while following a concrete plan that provides the materials to compose an essay to the best of my abilities. To complete this goal, I have devised a plan based upon recommended steps to improve the process of one's writing in Hjortshoj’s The Transition of College Writing. He explains that writers often undergo ‘’phases of planning, revising, and editing ‘’that ‘’ are therefore interwoven with composing a draft’’ (Hjortshoj 61) unlike the strict linear pattern one might learn and use in high school.
