There is nothing wrong with people looking differently and you just can’t judge a person by the way they look. Many Americans and people stereotyping Hispanics think they are Gang-bangers or Drug-addicts because of the way they look. A lot of Hispanics overcome this stereotyping by simply ignoring the rude comments. For example, my friend Wilber was once told to leave America and go back to his “gang’s turf”. Wilber ignored these comments knowing that El-Salvador was much more than a “gang turf”. Many people treat Hispanics like they don’t belong here or are from a “gangland” because of the way they dress but Wilber overcame these rude comments by ignoring these people. Hispanics don’t deserve these rude comments considering people like Wilber have good grades and a great life ahead of him.
Many Hispanics have a hard time in schools because they are thought Spanish by their parents and at the same time they have to go to an American school and learn to read, write, and learn another language. These Hispanics children are commonly left helpless, since their parents usually don’t know much about the U.S education system.
