Like most other politicians she does the opposite of what she says. Recently Hillary has rolled out a long awaited plan to take on Wall Street. She proposes a four-pronged approach to tackle Wall Street. One of the most emphasized policies she would like to enact is increasing accountability by punishing criminal behavior and instituting fees on excessive leverage and short-term borrowing. Ironically, much of her campaign money is coming from Wall Street. And let’s not forget when Bernie Sanders called her out on taking money from Wall Street; she claimed she could because she’s had connections since 9/11. “Read my lips, no new taxes,” evidently enough there were new taxes. A good politician is someone who is not a hypocrite. They tell the public what they are going to do and then follow through. They should abide by the same rules they set. The national government pushes laws onto the people but they couldn’t be bothered to follow them. The government can get away with practically anything, actions far worse than half the people whom are imprisoned. A glowing example is police officers, they can get away with severe brutality, but there is a common man who was involved in a bad bar fight sitting in the jail right now while that cop is going home to their family. Hypocrisy is flourishing in this country, rooting from the government. Defining what makes a good politician is extremely messy, it differs from person to person, but there are many similar attributes most people want. Most people ask for someone who does not lie to them, they know their limits and do not promise too much. The people want someone who practices what they preach and will not cover it up with excuses. It seems considerably reasonable of the people to ask for these qualities in a politician, but the people are still
