My Freshman Year

Improved Essays
My freshmen year of Highschool was one of the worst experiences of my life. I started freshman year of highschool with a low gpa of a 2.62. I was not at all happy with this GPA and I needed to change that. During my freshmen year, I was scared to ask questions to my teachers and to my classmates. I knew that was unacceptable of fear taking over my grades. I went to talk with my advisor and asked her for help and she helped me develop strategies that will help me become successful in my life. I felt grateful of that experience because I later raised my Cumulative GPA from a 2.62 to a 3.25. After this experience, I was not afraid to ask anyone for help and I know that in college many students struggle with their academics and a way that I can …show more content…
I believe that it is important for someone to have a great education and I am currently in that process with gaining more knowledge in college. I worked extremely hard in my life to make sure I can become someone successful in the future. I am making sure that in my life I will be able to help my future family have a happy and prosperous life. I am currently working on my career as of right now which is something not many seniors are currently doing right now. This helps many people identify me as a hardworking and responsible person because people believe that during college it is that time to determine your career, but high school should be the time to help determine your career because I know college is a stressful time and one does not want to spend a lot of time in one major and later change their major. This will prevent people from dropping out of school and spend a lot of money. I believe that I am a responsible person. I am always on top of everything even though some tasks are hard to complete I always find a way to complete it and make sure my job was well done. In Highschool I helped my teachers a lot. This includes helping my advisor with Report Card Pick Up. Many students do not want to help their teachers because of their time management and I always have time to do that because I am always on top of everything. I also …show more content…
I hope to gain knowledge in marketing, gain a lot of opportunities in volunteering and to become a better person. In college it is possible to complete all of these tasks because of all the opportunities and resources the schools have to offer. This includes volunteering events, clubs, and internships. Basically what I want to gain from my college experience is to become a better person than I ever was. My number one goal for my life is to become a college professor. I want to help the students learn about marketing and make sure I inspire many students’ lives by far distance I traveled to become a college professor. What I want to gain from my college experience is success to myself and to

However, I still had two more years of high school to raise my gpa and that was my light at the end of the tunnel. Middle school can be an odd and rough time for kids, as they change from being sheltered youth to responsible young adults. I failed miserably at handling that transition. The classes taught in middle school were supposed to be easy, especially now that I look in retrospect. Yet, I regularly brought home B’s and low A’s, at best, on my report card. I had barely challenged myself in middle school, if at all.…

To be successful, to be intelligent, to be a change. Those are the three main reasons I want to attend college. In this day and age, many jobs require a higher level of education to be able to work. Those jobs that don’t require a degree, depend upon more manual labor, backbreaking work and lower wages. I would rather remain in school longer, expand my knowledge, and get a career on everything I have learned, than go straight to the work field to earn less and do more.…
