There are many point of views on how community policing and how crime should be reduced social scientists such as Herman Goldstein, James Wilson, and George Keeling gave their ideas and how crimes should be down and how the police should do better community policing. In order to keep the public safe with these social scientists, theories will be determined which is best strategy to keep New York safe. In Herman Goldstein essay the new policing Goldstein used 5 spches on how we can improved community relations with the community there are refining the police function and public expectations , getting involved in the substance of policing, rethinking the relationship between the police and the criminal justice system, searching for alternatives and changing the working environment in a police agency. Strategies are then formulated to counter increasing incidences of crime.”(Godown 2009) this is a very good straight because if law enforcement can know which are crime is high the police department can more line person on the street but also there have outreach programs with the community to work with them how there can keep crime down constant is good method to reduce crime and also it good for police community
