The moment a black child is conceived, they are automatically at a disadvantage as they have access to lower quality healthcare. They are less likely to receive proper prenatal care, which will negatively impact their growth and development as a fetus, which increases the chance for poor health in the future. People are almost innately born to differentiate. Egocentrism is often taken too heavily. Also, studies have shown people often prefer to be alongside those who share similar views as them. People will unconsciously prefer anything that is closely related with their culture. The most important task is to educate the public. Education is necessary for everyone at any age, especially younger children, as when they receive a higher quality education can better understand the issues with racism. Also, exposure of health disparity will alert the public; therefore, government intervention is necessary. Government intervention is a must to improve health disparities, as they are the ones who make it possible for many to receive health care. Proper healthcare should be provided as for all those who cannot afford it. Healthcare often covers the basics, enough to sustain life.
