Harriet Tubman Legacy

One very prominent African American person that lived during the 1800's was Harriet Tubman she made a big impact for enslaved African's she helped in numerous ways and she is still vividly remembered today. She will be forever remembered for her actions, what she did was very inspiring and wonderful. She had achievements that could be beyond the reach of some people. She was a jack of all trades when it came to her and her achievements, she was a humanitarian, a participant in women's suffrage, an antislavery activist, abolitionist, a civil right leader, and she helped in the civil war as a cook and a nurse. Harriet Tubman to many was a hero anad her legacy will live on for the rest of time

Harriet would never let anyone get left behind and if they did want to turn back and jeprodize anyone elses freedom she told them that if they even tried she'd shoot them in the back. Harriet was given the nickname Mose's by William Lloyd Harrison because she would help get slaves into freedom like moses from the bible helped the Jewish slaves become free from the Egyptians.Soon Harriet was a hero to many enslaved people everyone knew of her and she became wanted for helping to free enslaved people, she was wanted for $300 which now is $3,000 in todays money. Harriet would not only help the enslaved become free but she would also help them find jobs and houses. She would help them by taking them to be with antislavery activist.Apart from working to help free enslaved persons, she helped abolitionist John brown find new men to help him for his raid on Harper's Ferry, she was also extremely active in the stuggle for womens rights she worked with susan B anthony. She is now remebered as a big attributer to the anti-slavery, she is said to be the new face of the $20 very soon replacing Andrew
