Hana had lots of friends in the barracks but her closest friend would have to be Ella. Ella took Hana under her wing and made sure she was ok in every situation rather it be picking the bugs out of each other's hair/sleeping bags or Hana not getting enough food or being horribly treated by the Nazis. Ella also went out of her and Hana’s barracks because she was older to tell Hana’s brother George Brady stuff George needed to know like when Hana was told to go to Auschwitz to by the Nazi soldiers.
