Nonprofit retention
The two areas that I feel are important for a human services nonprofit agency in order to maximize employee retention is offering compensation and providing a comfortable work environment. The reason I fell that compensation is important is because working for a nonprofit organization their pay rate is usually very low, employee are over works and yet they are underpaid. If employees feel that their work does not match up with their pay they will seek employment elsewhere. According to nonprofit HR compensation is one of the stickiest problems that nonprofit organizations face. Nonprofit agencies at times give their employees bonuses to keep them happy but employees tend to see the ticks they are pulling
