Great post! A quick disclaimer, my response is heavily opinionated.
It really bothers me how heavily gun proponents depend on the constitution for their arguments of why gun control would have a negative impact on society. It's quite baffling that even the majority of NRA members support reasonable, common-sense gun regulations and yet we still can't seem to get appropriate laws passed. Is the NRA not listening to its own members? First of all, if the second amendment of the constitution was revised, it wouldn't be the first time that the constitution was changed.
