“You don’t need no gun control, you know what you need some bullet control. Man we need to control bullets that's right, I think all bullets should cost five thousand dollars, because if bullets cost five thousand dollars there would be no more innocent bystanders.” (Chris Rock). The gun law of Massachusetts is as of January 1st, 2012 will no longer issue A and B licenses to carry and permits to purchase of rifle and shotguns with a capacity of no more than 10 rounds and they're carrying for hunting and sporting purchases. There are 250 - 280 million guns in the united states and can't get the exact number of how many illegal guns are on the street. 86 percent of juveniles have reported on owning firearm. “ 3 Percent of violent crimes are with legally purchase guns.” (Joe Scarborough) Newsweeky did a study and 40 percent of the people they asked got a firearm illegally buy gift or illegal transaction. Most people who buy a illegal gun would not answer a survey honestly. The crimes are being done with illegal guns. They are buying them from the black market so gun control wouldn’t do anything. The definition of a criminal tells us that criminals are a person who has committed a crime and broken the law in some way, shape, or form. Common sense tells us that criminals do not follow laws, so gun control laws will just add to the list of laws for them to break. One example of a law that was broken is the Gun Control Act of 1968. The Gun Control act of 1968 did not prevent any crime from happening and in “states enacting more-relaxed right-to-carry laws, murders fell an average of 8 percent, rapes an average of 5 percent, and aggravated assaults an average of 7 percent between 1977 and 1992” (Lott 1).…

Gun control laws are only going to show effectiveness if they are completely enforced. “Bans often include "grandfather" provisions, allowing ownership of an item if it is acquired before the ban, complicating an assessment of causality” (Hahn). While some gun control laws are effective in reducing gun violence, others seem unnecessary and too restrictive. Law-abiding American citizens should not have their rights taken away because others could not follow the law.…

More Highly Regulated Gun Control is an Effective Method of Reducing Crime Gun control generally refers to laws or policies that regulate the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession, modification, or use of firearms. The actual definition of gun control varies greatly around the world, however, this is the most Americanized and generalized definition that I’ll stick with. Even though illegal gun trafficking is undoubtedly tied to juvenile gun violence and other crimes like drug dealing and gang crime, Our unalienable second amendment right states, "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” (Second Amendment). Most everyone whom obtains a gun legally or illegally claim it is for self-defense, and legally…

Gun Control simply does not influence the behavior of criminals in their efforts to obtain and use firearms. Law abiding citizens can be expected to conform to the law and obtain permits, register guns, and enroll in firearm safety courses. By contrast, there would be no surprise if it were found that criminals regularly violate the law by purchasing guns illegal on black markets or by stealing them (Moorhouse 4). Sowell states that gun control “simply disarm[s] law-abiding citizens, while people bent on violence find firearms readily…
