Today, as fossil fuels are drying up and environmental regulations are becoming stricter, businesses are growing more and more interested in “Green Cars.” In line with the global boom in electric car development, Korean car manufacturers are striving to introduce their own electric and hybrid electric lines. Hyundai Motors succeeded in making a prototype electric car in 1991. Unfortunately, however, all such attempts failed to produce marketable results. Recently, the government has set a goal to make the country one of the world’s top four Green Car producers. The Company has always believed in the protection and expansion of green cover across its facilities. As a contribution to environment, 100,000 teakwood saplings were planted in 30 villages which will be supported by the Foundation for next 10 years. 2. Potential customers should be given opportunities to try the product or service, and explain exactly what makes it green but still high quality.
3. As with traditional marketing, it should be made sure that the consumer knows all the various ways that the product or service can positively impact their life.
4. Only green claims that can be substantiated should be made and then those claims of greenness should be substantiated on packaging, brochures, and company website. Parts that are green should be very specific (the ingredients, the packaging, the manufacturing process, etc.).
5. The language when marketing in the world of green products should be very careful and specific.
6. Incentives and infrastructure investments will help automakers gear up for next-generation transportation such as hybrid, electric and alternative fuel vehicles.
7. Pollution Clearance - There should be differentiation in the clearance procedure for polluting and non-polluting industries.
