If I had to make a soundtrack for the Great Gatsby there would be many songs to choose from but I have chosen some that I think are the best for this job. One of the songs that I would choose is “The Sound Of Sunshine” by michael franti & spearhead. I think this song would be a good choose for when Nick Carraway first moved to west egg. I Chose this song because it is up beat and sounds like a song that would be good to move to And it is laid back and nice to listen to. In the song “the sound of sunshine” they say “Some days you lose you win and the water's as high as the times you're in. So I jump back into where I learn to swim. Try to keep my head above it as best I can. That's why; Here I am, Just waiting for this storm to pass me by. And that's the sound of sunshine coming down And that's the sound of sunshine coming down.” I could see this song being used two different times in the book, but I chose this one because I feel like this song is a good one to start a movie/book with. The book says that nick just got out of a war and decided to get a new job corer. In the song they say “gust waiting for this storm to pass me by” which could also represent war and waiting to get back home. …show more content…
It would be best used in the part of the book were tom and daisy went to one of gatsby's party. In the song yes sir that's my baby they say “That's my baby No sir, I don't mean maybe. Yes sir, that's my baby now. Yes, ma'am, we've decided. No ma'am, we ain't gonna hide it. Yes, ma'am, you're invited now. By the way, by the way. When we walk up to the preacher I'll say. Yes sir, that's my baby. No sir, I don't mean maybe. Yes sir, that's my baby now.” in the song that’s my baby could be used to resemble a car of some sort. In the book daisy says to tom “Go ahead, answered daisy genially. And if you want to take any addresses here’s my little gold

If Jay Gatsby were to have a playlist, his top three songs would be “A Drop In The Ocean” by Ron Pope, “I Won’t Give Up On Us” by Jason Mraz, and “Everything I Do” by Bryan Adams. In a “A Drop In The Ocean”, the man is singing about truly loving a woman and hoping they might end up together. In the lyrics he claims “if you don’t love me pretend...cause you are my heaven”. There is an obvious connection here because Gatsby has always seen Daisy as his everything, his “heaven”, his green light. In the start of their relationship, Gatsby admits to have let “her believe that he was a person from much the same stratum as herself-that he was fully able to take care of her” (Fitzgerald 149).…

In today’s society, majority of people would watch a film rather than read a novel. ‘Adaptation is, perhaps, the result of an increasingly post-literate world in which the visual image dominates’ (Cartmell 145). Has film become the new form of art? Does an adaptation have the same effect? I will be analysing the adaptation of novel into film and how changes are made to suit a certain audience.…

I believe this song would be good for the soundtrack because it was made in the 1920’s. The last song I chose was a song was a song by Billie Holiday called “God Bless The Child”. This song would play just loud enough in the background you hear it. “Besides the owl-eyed man, Nick, and Gatsby's dad, no one comes to the funeral. Is it the rain?…

Gatsby Synthesis Essay The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, represents the theme that the American dream is no longer achievable. Happiness eludes those who only want more because as new things arise the temptation is always there, to be one step ahead of everyone else and have it all. Jay Gatsby represents the constant striving to capture something that a person believes will finally make them happy. He wants Daisy, his love from long ago that was supposed to wait for him.…

This song is starts off with overpowering bagpipes, and then switches to softer music and it is sang. This song plays a significant part in building emotion as the soldiers awake at dawn on the third day of battle. They awake knowing that the Vietnamese soldiers have moved in to attempt an ambush overnight, and this is their final opportunity to head it off and survive, or die trying. The adaption of the book The Great Gatsby into a movie was done in its own unique way. A book is capable of leaving interpretation up to the reader, while a movie takes the interpretation of someone and gives it visuals for others to follow. A primary source for visuals is in symbols. Symbols are able to be distinguished by different means, whether descriptive words in a novel or by drawing focus with the help of visual and auditory aids in a movie. Novels and movies are both—in different ways—capable of giving a second meaning to something that outwardly would only have one meaning.…

Theme Song Essay Music has always been such a necessity to me. Sometimes when I listen to certain songs it brings so many different emotions to me, other times music will remind me of certain memories or people. Music can be such a powerful thing to some people. You can listen to music when you are sad, happy, excited, angry, etc. However, my go-to song when I feel like I'm going through a hard time and need some motivation or reminder that you have to stay positive through all the negative situations in life is Olivia Lane’s song “Make My Own SunShine”.…

In this Movie Review, ill like to first talk about the novel and the movie of what they had in common. I’ve noticed that the director of the movie had tried to take lines and dialogues directly off the book and make it fit into the movie. Nick caraway in both novel and movie is a “struggling bond salesman”. Throughout the story, Daisy’s reaction to hearing the name “Gatsby” during their first get-together is shown in the book and as well in the movie. Tom Buchanan’s reference to a book called The Rise of Colored Peoples is from the book as well.…
