The book, The Outsiders by S.E. Hilton, is about two groups, the Greasers and the Socs who go head to head in the outsiders. Which group has it tougher? to me, the Greasers do. Greasers who are not well educated and low on money, I think they have tougher than the Socs who are well educated and have nice vehicles and more money than the greasers. The greasers struggle more on Respect because everywhere they go there not wanted . Another would be money, the Greasers are constantly asking or stealing money. The reason i think greasers have it harder than socs because they don’t get respect they should get. The socs think they have harder because of their expectations. So when someone sees a Greaser they either leave or try to keep away from them. In the book The Outsiders, Ponyboy describes how they don’t get respect from others. “Greasers can’t walk alone too much or they will jumped or someone will come by and scream Greaser!!” This shows that greasers struggle more than socs because they could never get respect from other people or be treated normal. This is important because everyone should be treated the same and equally.
