Good Morning Abigail! I first wan to comment on your first paragraph. I agree with you and I think it is important as future human service workers that we understand the trauma people are faced with. You mentioned the article where the girl talks about not feeling pretty because of the color of her skin and her mother never told her she was beautiful. This really weighed on me as well. Did you think that perhaps her mother was dealing with her own issues as a black woman so therefore couldn’t cater to her child? This could be true after reading the readings last week and correlated that the lack of care for a child can lead to adverse childhood trauma. In your second paragraph you said that abuse leads to more abuse. This can be true;
