Global Warming myth or fact?
Global warming has probably been one of the most controversial subjects in all of the scientific community for many years. Arguments range from how the climate change is affecting the way nature works, how it is leading to extreme climate changes that lead to disasters, to how it is just a periodical climate change in the world that has no more meaning that it being natural. Some say that the earth is able to handle all the pollution and CO2 that is produce without any draw backs. But the reality of the matter is that disastrous events are happening throughout the earth and all of them seem to point out to one thing, that global warming is harming our planet and that is our job to help our planet.

The oxford dictionary states that global warming is “a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth 's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants”(NASA 7). So to summarize due to pollution, the greenhouse effect and the high levels of CO2 our planet is getting warmer as time passes.
Evidence.
The way that our world normally works is that it receives its heat from our sun which supplies us with plenty of it, but due to harmful gasses and CO2 this heat doesn’t leave our planet and it stays casing harm, this is what is call the greenhouse effect. In accordance to NASA carbon dioxide levels had been significantly building up in our atmosphere since the industrial revolution (NASA 7), also all the pollution that we are creating that is ending up in our air is leading to this greenhouse effect.
The warming effect has cause the sea level to rice 6.7 inches in the last decade, temperature rises globally leading to warmer oceans which in turn shrink our ice sheets, also extreme weather conditions, acidification of the ocean which is due to the ocean absorbing the carbon dioxide that is in the atmosphere, it has also been link to seismic activity by some …show more content…
Not only does this source carbon print is minimal but it has been proven to be reliable up to a good extent. Wind power seems to be the most reliable so far. Many countries around the world are implementing this great method of producing energy. Denmark for example produces more energy by wind source that it can use. And many other countries like Germany and England are taking notice of this and switching over. And finally we have hydropower which is harvested by using dams, this last source is not 100% eco-friendly since in some cases it does affect nature by drying rivers, but for the most part with the current research they have made it very eco-friendly in the United States of America. Aside from alternative sources of power there are many invention around the world that help keep the greenhouse effect down. Some of this are pavement that absorb smog particles, solar lanterns, walls that break down air pollutants and many more. As we can see the global warming effect is real and a serious matter, is affecting our planet in many harmful ways. Since our planet is not strong enough to recover from it by itself we have to take it upon our self to help it. We only get one earth so let’s do our best to conserve it the way it is, a beautiful
