The method of carbon sequestration already has some key parts. The chemical system is currently being used in some facilities such dry ice manufacture and beverage carbonation. This brings the idea that the same approach be used towards coal-burning electric power plants. The smokestacks could be replaced with absorption towers. The first tower can separate the carbon dioxide from the other gases such as water vapor and nitrogen to absorb it. The second tower would separate the carbon dioxide from the absorbing chemicals, which would allow for the absorbing chemicals to be returned to the first tower for reuse. When the burned coal is done with oxygen rather than air it would allow for it to be much easier. It would be mixed only with water vapor, not nitrogen. If the carbon dioxide is stored underneath the ocean, there is going to be many more problems. If a leak occurs after the certain limit has been reached the carbon dioxide would spread into the ocean. This would affect the organisms and the organism’s habitat. Soon now we would have a much bigger environmental problem. After the carbon dioxide has manifested into the ocean water it would still be entering the atmosphere. Now we would be left with trillions of stored carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and pose a great threat to the ocean’s organism’s habitat. Another possible way to use the carbon sequestration is by using it on automobiles. Cars play a major role in burning fossil fuels. To travel, we use cars daily burning many tons of carbon daily around the world.
