Georgia O’Keefe was an artist that painted flowers, skeletons, and beautiful views of the mountains. O’Keefe’s true source of art is nature. She was born in November 15, 1887, she was an art student in Chicago and New York. At age of ten O’Keefe wanted to become an artist. Most of O’Keefe’s paintings were abstract. She is very important because she painted many New York skyscrapers and New Mexico landscapes, she is very well know because of those paintings.

In my opinion I think that she was a great artist. I like the way she did her abstract. Around her time abstracts were uncommon, but she still kept doing them. When many of the critics saw her as a sexual creature because of the photos of her husband displayed she still kept on painting

In an off-the-cuff meeting with painter Georgia O’Keefe, O’Keefe told Mitchell that she couldn’t be a good painter and a good musician at the same time. Mitchell proved her wrong, as her art has been featured in books, as well as art galleries. With the release of her 1985 album, Dog Eat Dog, she threw a release party at a gallery in Los Angeles, where she also displayed her artwork.
