The Continental Navy was established in 1775, and consisted of seven ships ( For over 200 years the United States Navy has operated in various environments from piece time operations to the highest level of war time operations. Describing one of the features I will discuss the General Military Training or (GMT). This page is devoted to support all Navy personnel in the accomplishment of the mandatory training requirements for the 2015 GMT cycle and provides the necessary information to administer the command GMT program. The user will review all required training from the list posted. If the user is the program manager for training they will utilize the Category one lessons that must be conducted in a command-delivered (face-to-face) training session. If the user is individual user they are responsible for the Category two web-based training topics (NKO, 2015).
