Universities were 90 percent male students and slowly increased over time. Hitler’s Cabinet also ordered a reduction of female teachers in schools and universities. By 1935 the number of women teachers had decreased by 15 percent. The policy of only hiring male teachers was implemented. Girls in public schools were split up from the boys so that they:received different curriculum and teaching methods. Girls and boys were taught different subjects to help develop a perfect youth for Nazi interests. Girls studied domestic subjects with science and eugenics to help them become good housewives. Boys were taught to be physically and mentally dominant in all areas. In 1929, Joseph Goebbels wrote, “The mission of women is to be beautiful and to bring children into the world.
