Patents provide a company various advantages and power. According to Bennet patents give exclusive rights to the manufacturing and selling of that particular product or service for a particular limited time period (Bennet, 2002). Patents also helps companies exclude competitors thus it leads to maximum profit making for a company and also its market share increases.

Coalition Tactics
Fusion used coalition tactics when they went for help from the U.S Trade Representative, Senate Finance committee, House Republican Task Force on Technology and the Americn Ambassador to Japan. This was a coalition tactic aimed at persuading Mitsubishi to come to to an agreement.
Rational Persuation
Fusion used logical arguments and factual evidence to show Mitsubishi that they used their technology to create the product.
Consulattion Tactics
This was the first tactic used by Fusion. Fusion tried to settle the matter through direct negotioations with Mitsubishi which lead to no agreement and
