Friar Lawrence is to blame because he gave Romeo and Juliet the wrong kind of advice. <
He's telling Juliet that she should take the potion and be dead the morning she's supposed to marry Paris. Thou shalt continue two-and-forty hours/And then awake as from a pleasant sleep./Now, when the bridesroom in the morning comes/ To rouse thee from bed, there art thou dead./(4.1.105-108) This quote shows that Friar is to blame for the deaths because he didn't tell Juliet what she’s supposed to do if she wakes up sooner or if the timing doesn’t go as planned. He is to blame for rushing things and getting married fast.< Friar is telling Romeo to slow down because he was just stuck on Rosaline and know he wants to marry Juliet. Therefore love moderately: long love doth so;/Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow./(2.6.14-15) This is showing that Romeo didn’t slow down and think stuff completely through. Even though the Friar had bad advice this was good. Romeo had to take some of the blame because of what he did and going back for her and going super
