As Ilya Ehrenburg said, freedom of speech is something wonderful to have in this life. It is something that a U.S citizen has a right to have. The Electoral College in a way is taking our freedom of speech by deciding who the United States president by just looking at the Electoral Colleges elector votes. As Jeff Jarvis once said, “The idea of speech should be controlled to limit itself offensive to the principles of free, open, and modern society.” (Jarvis). What he means by this is freedom of speech should limit them mostly by our society which includes who we decide to lead us as a country. Freedom of speech is a great way to let the government know how you are feeling about the government or society. It also lets lem know how you are as a person like being religious, open minded, and etc.Voting is one of the ways to let them know how you feel about recent government changes and to help us pick the correct leader of the free world without any of our politicians input on it. With freedom of speech it lets society know which leader we want to lead us, not respecting the American people’s voice it says how we all can make a difference, and finally there might be corrupt politicians that are not capable making the right choice because of bias decisions .
